Copy a Model

About this task

You cancopy a model and its components into a model group.

Tocopy a model:

Procedure

  1. In the Model Groups frame navigate to andselect the model group that contains the model you want to copy. Themodel name is displayed in the Models and Groups frame.

    See Access the Visual Modeler for information onhow to navigate the model group hierarchy.

  2. In the Models and Groups frame click onthe model you want to copy.

    This displaysthe current structure of the model.

  3. Click Copy in thetaskbar.

    This displays the Copy window.

  4. Enter the Destination Model Group.
    1. Click Browse.

      This displays a Hierarchy Browser.

    2. Browse the hierarchy until you find thedestination model group.
    3. Select the destination model group.
    4. Click Done.

      The model group appears in the DestinationModel Group field.

  5. As desired modify the Destination Name field.

    The name defaults to the name of the modelbeing copied.

  6. Click Copy in theCopy window.

    The model is copied to thedestination model group.
