Control Center mysqld-nt.exe (MySQL) is using 100% CPU on Windows server for hours

Troubleshooting

Problem

Control Center mysqld-nt.exe (MySQL) is using 100% CPU on Windows server for hours

Symptom

Sterling Control Center 4.2.02

The executable file for MySQL (mysqld-nt.exe) is using 100% CPU on Windows server for hours. This occurs when the Prod database begins to move data to the Staging database. In particular, it appears that the CE_STATS_LOG table in the database is the culprit.

Data must be manually removed from the CE_STATS_LOG table. Re-initializing the databases temporarily will resolve this until the Prod database again begins moving data to the Staging database.

Error Message

CPU for MySQL at 100% - Performance Issue

Taking seven hours for prodPurge to complete.
