Consolidation in batch mode fails to start - caused by bad UDL database connection file

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches Controller. User succesfully logs in and uses the system. Everything (at first) appears normal. However user then creates a consolidation job. This job enters the batch queue, however never actually starts running. In other words, the consolidation job appears to get 'stuck' (never starts).

Symptom

In Windows Event Viewer (Application):

Database: “<db_name>” Could not connect to database. Database <db_name> blocklisted. It will be considered again in 20 minutes. Invalid UDL file.
