Problem
Console Redirection via serial does not occur when the COM port on the BMC is set for CLI (Control Line Interface).This problem occurs each time the server is booted. When the failure occurs, the console output of the server will not be displayed on theclient system.

Console Redirection via serial does not occur when the COM port on the BMC is set for CLI (Control Line Interface). This problem occurs each time the server is booted.

A fix has not been identified. This issue is still under investigation.

Workaround
|
|---|
When the failure occurs press <ESC>+( to enable CLI mode then press <ESC>+Q to enable console redirection.

When CLI and Console Redirection are enabled at the same time, the COM port is shared between the two functions; however, only one function can work at a time.
You can use <ESC>+Q and <ESC> + ( to toggle between the two functions)
<ESC>+Q will enable console redirection and <ESC>+ will enable CLI.
