How do I create a connection between AnySQL Maestro and the Netezza database?

You can download or purchase a version of AnySQL Maestro at the following site:

1. Install the Netezza ODBC driver as described in the NPS ODBC, JDBC and OLE DB Installation and Configuration Guide.
2. Launch AnySQL Maestro and then on the Database menu, click Create Database Profile.

3. On the Create Database Profiles page, select localhost from the Database group drop-down list.
For the connection string, click the ellipses (...) to the right of the field.

4. Click on the Connection tab and select NZSQL from the Use data source name drop-down list. Enter information in the user name andpassword fields. Then select system as the initial catalog and click OK.

5. After the wizard populates your connection string, click Next.

6. You can assign the database an alias and specify options for the profile. Click Ready.

In the explorer window, your newly created database profile appears.

7. Double-click the database profile name and the connection to the Netezza database will occur.

After you are connected to the Netezza database, you can explore the AnySQL Maestro functionality.

In the following view of the data in the all_sales table, you can drag a column header to group the data by that column.

The following SQL Editor window shows a basic select statement. You can write your query and then hit the Execute Query button on the left hand side to execute it.

You can take advantage of AnySQL Maestro's versatility in managing the data in your Netezza database.
