In IBM Business Process Manager (BPM), if you have more than one deployment environment in the same cell, you need a script and instructions to configure a virtual host.
Resolving The Problem
To configure the virtual host, complete the following steps:
- Start the Deployment Manager.
- Run dmgr_profile\bin\updateVirtualHost -? on Microsoft Windows operating systems or -help on UNIX-based operating systems to view the usage instructions.
- Run the updateVirtualHost command with the deployment environment names and the virtual host name:
updateVirtualHost -d Deployment Environment Name 1,Deployment Environment Name 2 -v virtual_host_name
The updateVirtualHost command is located in the dmgr_profile/bin directory. For example, run updateVirtualHost -d de1,de2 -v test_host.
In this example, the web modules of the applications in the deployment environments de1 and de2 are mapped to the virtual host test_host after you run the script.
VirtualHost is the name of the virtual host to which the web modules of the applications are mapped. Specify the following options also:
-no-sync - Do not force the immediate propagation of changes across the nodes.
-no-save - Do not save the configuration changes.
