Question
How do I configure an IoT connection Service?
Answer
You can connect to an IoT service so that you can receive sensor data on the Reliability Engineering dashboard. If you connected AT&T Asset Management – Operations Center to Maximo Asset Health Insights 7.6.0.3 and upgrade to Maximo Asset Health Insights 7.6.0.4, you need to reconfigure your connection.
Procedure
1. Specify which IoT service that you want to connect with, such as AT&T Asset Management – Operations Center, IBM Watson® IoT Platform, or create a new service. If you connect to another service, specify the service name, description,
and the endpoint name. Then, select Next.
2. If you connect to AT&T Asset Management – Operations Center, specify values for the following fields:
| Field | Value |
| HTTP Method | This field is populated automatically. Do not modify this field. |
| Headers | This field is populated with the following value: X-AMOC-KEY:attr:-key-,Content- Type:application/json. Replace attr:-key- with the key that is provided by AT&T. |

| User name | The API Key that was created to log in with Watson IoT Platform. |
| Password | The authentication token that is used to log in with Watson IoT Platform. |
4. If you connect to IBM Cloudant, select Connect IBM Cloudant, and specify the details for the IBM Cloudant account that you created. Test the connection, and select Next.
5. On the Configure End Point Properties tab, specify Rest API details and endpoints to request device types, devices, and messages from the IoT connection service that you selected. You can also specify Rest API details and endpoints to request the last message for a device type. If you selected AT&T Asset Management – Operations Center or Watson IoT Platform, the fields are pre-populated. Update the fields only if there is a known change.
6. On the Register Devices tab, select and then register the devices that are shown.
7. On the Map Data Schemas tab, select the Edit icon for a registered device that is shown, set up the schema to use, and save the changes.
