How do I import a self-signed certificate into IE that I created with DCM?
Answer
You can configure Internet Explorer to import your self-signed
certificates. You set Internet Explorer to accept the certificate, and
then add the certificate to the trusted sites.
Procedure
1. Browse to the website whose certificate you want to trust. This message is displayed: There is a problem with this website's security
certificate.
2. Click Continue to this website (not recommended).
3. Click Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites. A
URL is displayed. Confirm that it is the correct URL, and then click
Add, Close, and OK.
4. Refresh the current page. This message is displayed: There is a
problem with this website's security certificate.
5. Click Continue to this website (not recommended).
6. At the right of the address bar, click Certificate Error and then
click View certificates.
7. Click Install Certificate, and then click Next.
8. Click Place all certificates in the following store, and then click
Browse.
9. Click Trusted Root Certification Authorities, and then click OK, Next,
and Finish.
10 If a Security Warning message is displayed, click Yes, and then OK.
11 .Click Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted sites > Sites.
The added URL is displayed.
12.Select the URL. Click Remove, and then click Close.
13. Close all instances of Internet Explorer, and then restart it.
Results
The certificate is now trusted.
