How can I configure crawlers of Content Analytics with Enterprise Search to use SSL certificates?
Answer
You can follow the steps below:
- Import the certificates into a keystore on the ICAwES box. You can use any location you want, e.g. $ES_INSTALL_ROOT/_jvm/jre/lib/security/cacerts. This is ICAwES's JAVA keystore.
- Enter the keystore location into the crawler configuration's SSL Location field.
- After the crawler's creation finishes restart the dsconfigurator session with this command:
esadmin dsconfigurator restart
Note that the dsconfigurator needs to be restarted every time new certificates are imported or the keystore location changes.
