Problem
I have data from a survey. Before I analyze the survey to address my research questions, I would like to compute and assign weights that adjust the marginal proportions of cases on 2 demographic variables. I would like the weighted percentages for each of males and females to be 50%. Also, each respondent belonged to one of four contract groups. I would like the weighted percentages to be 25% for each contract group. How can I compute weight variables in SPSS that will make these adjustments simultaneously?
