CommonStore for SAP does not support SAP DocFinder Version 2

Question

You are trying to use SAP Document finder with CommonStore for SAP Version 8.1. The following errors are displayed on the console that runs the CommonStore server (archpro): com.sap.rfc.exception.JRfcMiddlewareException: An rfc client called the function module "ALINK_ATTR_GET_RFC_2" that is not registered at the RfcServer object.

Answer

In your SAP system, you can switch the version of the Document Finder. To do so, update table TOADOCSP (call transaction SE16):

In table TOADOCSP, specify the search class (SEARCH_CLS) "CL_ALINK_QUERY" to use version 1 of the Document Finder.

If the search class in table TOADOCSP is set to "CL_ALINK_QUERY_2", then the SAP Document Finder Version 2 is used, which is not supported by CommonStore.
