Troubleshooting
Problem
Receive 5161 error code from archive server when archiving emails using CommonStore for Lotus Domino, CommonSore for Exchange Server, or CommonStore for SAP.
Symptom
Administrator will see the following error message:
Archival to CommonStore failed. The archive server returned error code: 5161.
Cause
If your resource manager application is not running, you will see this problem.
Environment
CommonStore with DB2 Content Manager as the repository.
Diagnosing The Problem
- Log on to the Content Manager System Administration Client.
- On the left panel, expand DB2 Content Manager > your library server name> Resource Managers.
- On the right panel, right-click on your resource manager name and select Properties.
- If you get an error message "DGL5161A: Get output stream for connection to resource manager failed", the resource manager is not up and running.
Resolving The Problem
- Start resource manager if it is not already started.
- If there are errors when starting the resource manager, check the following log file on the resource manager server for hints to resolve the error:
IBMCMROOT\logs\rm\node\icmrm\icmrm.logfile
Contact IBM support if you need further assistance on starting resource manager. - The CommonStore archive jobs that previously failed will not be processed again. New archive jobs will need to be submitted.
