Command to display idle disconnect and terminal lock time values in IBM Session Manager

Question & Answer

Question

Is there an IBM Session Manager for z/OS (ISM) command to display the timeout to disconnect (IDLEDISC) and time to lock a terminal (IDLELOCK) in Session Manager?

Answer

There is no command available in IBM Session Manager for z/OS to display the IDLEDISC, IDLELOCK, or SIDLTIME values. You can however view them from the Online Administration (OLA) session within ISM by selection options...

4 - "SYSTEM definitions",
S - "ISZSYSnn" (Select the system),
2 - "Common enduser parameters"

From the "Common enduser parameters" panel you can view the time values for options:

IDLEDISC
IDLELOCK
IDLELOGOFF

If you enter PF3 and choose:

3 - "Common session parameters"

... you can see the value for the

SIDLTIME

OLA panels have online help (enter PF1 key while viewing a parameter) that describe how each value is used.
