Question

How to collect IBM Dynamic System Analysis (DSA) report from server node?

Answer

1) Download ibm_utl_dsa_dsytd1o-9.50_portable_rhel6_x86-64.bin or equivalent for RHEL x86_64 bit from the below link :

http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/docdisplay?lndocid=serv-dsa

2) Use scp (Secure Copy) to copy the DSA executable to the server node via virtuser. You will need to collect logs for Spanning Tree Group (STG).

3) Run below command :

 chmod u+x ibm_utl_dsa_dsytd1o-9.50_portable_rhel6_x86-64.bin

4) Run DSA :

./ibm_utl_dsa_dsytd1o-9.50_portable_rhel6_x86-64.bin -d /dump/<location of db2support_$(date +%Y%m%d)>

Hit enter when prompted. You will see below messages during log collection.

Writing XML data to file /var/log/IBM_Support/8737AC1_23BWKG3_20131218-211014.xml.gz
 
DSA capture completed successfully.

5. Upload these DSA logs to IBM support site using below link :
