Cognos for Microsoft Office includes a refreshed User Interface and can be used concurrently with IBM Planning Analytics for Microsoft Excel 2.0.26. Cognos for Microsoft Office 11.0.0 supports Microsoft Office 2010, 2013 and 2016.
Those who wish to use Planning Analytics for Excel 2.0.26 and Cognos for Microsoft Office concurrently should update to this version at their earliest convenience.

This update works with IBM Cognos Analytics Server 10.2.2 and Cognos Analytics 11.0.x
Installation Instructions
To Download a new release
1. Review the prerequisites.
2. Download the appropriate compressed tar file using the links in the Download Package section.
Some browsers might change the downloaded file type from .tar.gz to a file type not recognized by the operating system. To correct this, change the file type back to tar.gz. Use of Download Director will prevent inadvertent renaming of files at download.
To Install a Fix Pack on Windows
1. Uninstall the current version of IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office.
2. Change to the directory where you saved the downloaded fix pack.
3. Using your file compress and decompress utility, decompress the files. If you are using WinZip®, select the option "use folder names".
4. Depending on your version of Microsoft Office, choose whether to install the 32-bit or 64-bit version.
· To install the 32-bit version, go to the win32 directory and double-click issetup.exe.
· To install the 64-bit version, go to the winx64h directory and double-click issetup.exe.
5. Select the language to use for the installation.
The language that you select determines the language of the user interface. You can change the language to any of the installed languages after installation.
6. In the Component Selection page, select IBM Cognos for Microsoft Office.
7. Follow the directions in the installation wizard to back up your old files and copy the required files to your computer.
