Question

Can I use Cognos Analytics on a mobile device such as a mobile phone, smartphone, or tablet?

Answer

You have 3 options to use Cognos Analytics on a mobile device:
1. By using the Cognos Analytics Mobile Application. This application can allow you to create pins and boards for Visualizations, configure alerts and notifications and interact with your data that uses the AI assistant and natural language. The App supports on-premises and cloud deployments of Cognos Analytics on Android and Apple iOS Devices. 
2. By using an iPad tablet (running at least iOS 13), you can access the Cognos Analytics web-based UI by using Mobile Safari, in the same fashion as with a desktop browser.  Connect to the same URL as on the desktop and login the same way.  If you access Cognos Analytics from a company network, you need to be on your company's WiFi or accessing the network with a VPN.  This connection varies by organization.
3. By using the IBM Cognos Analytics Reporting application, you can view Active and Standard Reports**, interactively run reports, and so on.  with a mobile device.  This app runs on iPads and iPhones (running at least iOS 13), and Android-based mobile devices and tablets (running at least Android 8.0).  These report objects remain available on your device for disconnected usage.
**Note: Standard (Non-Interactive) Reports are only supported as of Cognos Analytics 11.1.7 LTS and higher with App Version 11.0.0.7
