The Chassis Management Module (CMM) returns the error "Only admin users have permission to allow debug users" when attempting to enable debug mode over Secure Shell (SSH) when the supervisor account on Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) 1.0.1 is used.

Symptom

The Chassis Management Module (CMM) returns the error "Only admin users have permission to allow debug users" when attempting to enable debug mode over Secure Shell (SSH) when the supervisor account on Lenovo XClarity Administrator (LXCA) 1.0.1 is used.

Affected Configurations

The system is configured with one or more of the following IBM Option part number:

  • Flex System Chassis Management Module, Option part number 68Y7029, any replacement part number

The system has the symptom described above.

Solution

This behavior will be corrected in a future release of CMM v2.5.5.

The target date for this release is scheduled for first quarter 2016.

Workaround

Enable debugging by logging in CMM using RECOVERY_ID, which is authenticated and authorized locally.
