CM Server is not installed after a failed update

Troubleshooting


Problem

After a failed update to IBM Rational ClearCase, the CM server is not installed.

Symptom

Common symptoms when CM Server is not installed:

  • Point a browser to the URL: http://localhost:12080/TeamWeb/services/Team and receive the error: Error 404: No target servlet configured for url: /TeamWeb/services/Team.
  • When accessing IBM Rational ClearQuest Web for the first time, the list of repository databases is empty.
  • When accessing IBM Rational ClearQuest Web, you receive the error:
    CRVAP0279E The server connection needed to perform 'propertyReport (StpExResource.doReadProperties)' could not be established or terminated before the operation was completed.
  • When pointing IBM Rational ClearCase Remote Client to http://localhost:12080/TeamWeb/services/Team, the Rational ClearCase Remote Client fails to connect.
