Switchover progress monitoring for IBM i 7.4 TR 4
Previously, when a system administrator requested switchover of a Cluster Resource Group, the only notification would be the one to indicate the switchover had completed, along with error messages if the request had failed. Any switchover may take some time to complete and involves many steps.
A new feature is added to Cluster Resource Groups by writing an entry to a cluster log file for each step of the switchover so that the user can monitor the progress of the switchover and determine how long each step takes.
