If ClearCase is integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019, when Create Project is launched, Visual Studio might display the following error message:
Failed to open the new experience to create projects. Falling back to the old experience. Please check the activity log located at ‘C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\VisualStudio\16.0_ff47bcf7\ActivityLog.xml’ for more information.
Resolving The Problem
According to Microsoft, this issue should be resolved in the Visual Studio 2019 16.3 Preview GA release.
Workaround: Click OK on the error dialog box. The integration should work.
