Problem
When using the IBM Rational ClearCase Cadence integration within the Cadence Library Manager environment and the ClearCase environment is going to use the Change Management Integration (CMI) to link tasks to ClearCase operations, the ATRIA_FORCE_GUI environment variable has to be set so that the CMI environment pops up a GUI interface for the user to select the appropriate responses. If this environment variable is not set, the CMI has no way to prompt the user.
Symptom
Here is how to tell if this is an issue:
- The environment must be setup for the CMI integration
- You open the Cadence Library Manager, see the Cadence objects with the appropriate ClearCase glyphs, and can get the ClearCase information
- You then attempt to checkout a Cadence object, after a short period of time nothing happens, the Cadence Library Manager interface updates and all of the ClearCase information is now missing.
