This document notes how to determine your PTF order status using the Internet.

Resolving The Problem

Determining the Status of a PTF Order

The following steps provide an easy way to determine the status of a PTF order:

1Check the IBM Corrective Service Status page at:

https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/ssos/order_status

Enter your customer number and click on Get Order Numbers.

From the resulting screen, click on any of the orders listed.

Click on your Tracking # for additional details

Note: Order information will be available on this URL only for a few days.
2PTFs are generally mailed through US Mail. Mailing is set for 3-5 business days.
Available Fix Distribution Electronic "Same Day" Options

The following options are available for receiving fixes electronically on the same day:

A.Fix Central

Fix Central is available at the following Web site:

http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fixcentral/main/iseries/
B.SNDPTFORD

Use the SNDPTFORD command to order PTFs.

Note: If a client wishes to track a PTF order placed by SNDPTFORD:
Check for an entry in WRKPRB for the order. If found, press F11 to find the service number. If not found, check for a confirmation number in the following file (if a new order or connection has been placed the data will be overwritten):

WRKLNK '/QIBM/UserData/OS400/UniversalConnection/ecc.stdout'

Select Option 5 to display the file. Look for a line like this towards the end of the file.
