Troubleshooting
Problem
This document describes how to change the maximum number of exit programs for an exit point if message CPF3CD4 is issued.
Resolving The Problem
Message CPF3CD4 was issued when attempting to change the number of exit programs for an exit point:

The WRKREGINF was used and then Option 8 (Work with exit programs) and Option 1 to add an exit program resulted in the above message.
If the ALLOW CHANGE attribute for the exit point is *YES and the ALLOW DEREGISTER attribute has a value of *YES, it is possible to change the maximum number of exit programs associated with the exit point. To change the maximum number of exit points, use the following APIs:
| o | Deregister Exit Point (QUSDRGPT, QusDeregisterExitPoint) removes an exit point and all associated exit programs from the registration facility. |
| o | Register Exit Point (QUSRGPT, QusRegisterExitPoint) registers an exit point with the registration facility or updates an exit point. |
The call to QUSRGPT allows the user to change the maximum number of programs associated with the exit point. Here are links to OS 7.4 documentation on these APIs:
These APIs are documented in the API Reference in the chapter entitled Registration Facility APIs.
