Can the length of a field be changed using the 'size' property?
Answer
Within Maximo 7.5 – the 'size' property is within Application Designer for specific fields. The below example, the Index Name within Database Configuration – Indexes tab will be adjusted:
1) Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – Application Designer – Access the CONFIGUR application. Click on the Indexes tab – within the Indexes pane – click on the Index attribute – click on the Control Properties on the toolbar:
2) Within the Textbox Properties – enter a character length within the Size reference. In this example – 20 is referenced:
3) Save – Sign Out – Close the Browser – Sign Back into Maximo. Go To – System Configuration – Platform Configuration – Database Configuration – Access the WORKORDER object – click on the Indexes tab:
