Question & Answer
Question
How can you change the column header's description when loading a Work Order into Microsoft Project using the MS Project Adapter integration?
Answer
The column heading title is basically populated based on the title of Maximo attributes.
For example, you might want to display the WORKORDER object's 'WOJO2' attribute with the title 'Jobplan Info1' in MS Project. WOJO2 is not a default column used in the MS Project Adapter integration.
In order to achieve this requirement, you first need to add the WOJO2 column into the MaximoProject.ini file located in C:\MaxProjectClient.
- Open the MaximoProject.ini file.
- Find the [wofieldmap] section and add one line like in the screenshot below.

- Save.
- The WOJO2 attribute will then be loaded when loading a Work Order. But you do not want a title: WOJO2.

In order to change this title, you need to change the attribute title in the Database Configuration application.
- Go to the Database Configuration application.
- Open the WORKORDER object.
- In the Attributes tab, find the WOJO2 attribute. Change its title to the description of your choice (for example, 'Jobplan Info1').

- Save the record.
- Select Action/Apply Configuration Changes in the List tab (restart the Maximo server if required).
Now try to load a Work Order in MS Project. The WOJO2 attribute's title has changed.
