Troubleshooting
Problem
Used the EDTLIBL command to add a library. Signed off and back on and the library is no longer there.
Resolving The Problem
The Edit Library List (EDTLIBL) command was used to change the application libraries from a production set of libraries to a test set of libraries. After signing off and signing on again, the application was using the original production libraries again, rather than the test set of libraries.
The Add Library List Entry (ADDLIBLE) command behaves the same.
Use of the EDTLIBL command affects only the library list of the job in which the command is run for and used for the duration of that job. To change the library list for subsequent sign-ons, the job description for the user profile must be changed to reflect the new set of libraries in the initial library list parameter.

To make a permanent change for all jobs, add the library to the library list using the QUSRLIBL system value. The change is not dynamic. Jobs will attempt to add the library when they start.
