Problem
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates for the affected machine types do not contain square brackets for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addresses. When accessing the Integrated Management Module II (IMM2) web interface on these machines, the browsermight present an "Invalid certificate" dialog box.

Symptom
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates for the affected machine types do not contain square brackets for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) addresses. When accessing the Integrated Management Module II (IMM2) web interface on these machines, the browser might present an "Invalid certificate" dialog box.
Affected configurations
The system may be any of the following IBM servers:
- Flex System Manager Node, type 8731, any model
- Flex System Manager Node, type 8734, any model
- Flex System x220 Compute Node, type 2585, any model
- Flex System x220 Compute Node, type 7864, any model
- Flex System x220 Compute Node, type 7906, any model
- Flex System x240 Compute Node, type 8737, any model

The following system firmware level(s) are affected:
- IMM 1aoo28q, version 1.34
Solution
This behavior will be corrected in a future release of IMM2 firmware.
The target date for this release is scheduled for second quarter 2012.

Workaround
Accept the security exception as presented by the web browser. The IMM2 web interface will work normally.
