"This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certification authority" error launching Controller

Troubleshooting


Problem

User launches Controller client. User receives an error.

Symptom

Error when launching Controller client:

    ControllerProxyClient
    The system cannot find the file specified.
    Do you wish to accept the certificate?

If click "OK" they get a 'security alert' relating to the certificate.

  • If they click 'View Certificate' they see the following message:

This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certification authority.
