Problem
A large data set has a year's data for each value of an ID variable, with 1 record per day. When running Sequence Charts for the Data for a selected variable using the syntax code below produces a Catastrophic Error. "The SPSS Statistics Processor is terminating due to a catastrophic error. Any working data file is lost. A program error has occurred: Attempt to free unallocated memory. Please note the circumstances under which this occurred, attempting to replicate it if possible, and then notify Technical Support. Restart the processor?" OMS /SELECT CHARTS /IF COMMANDS=['Sequence Plot'] /DESTINATION FORMAT=HTML IMAGES=YES IMAGEFORMAT=JPG CHARTSIZE=100 OUTFILE=''Output file specification.html' VIEWER=NO. SPLIT FILE SEPARATE BY ID_VARIABLE TSPLOT VARIABLES=FORECASTS. /ID=DATEDAY /NOLOG /FORMAT NOFILL NOREFERENCE. * End the OMS Command so that the Output is written OMSEND. * Undo the Split File. SPLIT FILE OFF.
