Carrier Types
Use carrier types to organize and sort your carriers.
Each shipper defines the carrier as one of the following typesfor each shipping lane:
- Primary
- Secondary
- Backup
You assign carrier types to help manage the tendering process.When you tender shipments you can offer the load to the followingcarrier types:
- Primary carriers that are eligible to take this shipment
- Primary and secondary carriers that are eligible to take thisshipment
- All carriers that are eligible to take the shipment (primarysecondary and backup)
- Secondary carriers that are eligible to take this shipment
- Backup carriers that are eligible to take this shipment
- Secondary and backup carriers that are eligible to take this shipment
