Carrier Contracts in Optimization
You must define a shipper and carrier contract with eachcarrier that you use to deliver freight. This contract contains therates that you actually pay the carrier to deliver the freight.
Your shipper and carrier contracts have the followingimpacts on optimization:
- The optimizer uses these contracts to obtain rates for shipmentsthat are already assigned to a carrier.
- Parcel carrier contracts have specific requirements for shippersthat use the optimizer.
