After you findthe available carriers you can click Create Carrier List toset up a dynamic carrier list. You can use this list to quickly submita tender.

Capacity Center Search Options

You can usethe following search options on the Capacity Center tab:

Search

Use the Search list to select the existingsearch you want to run. When you select a search Sterling TMS automaticallyruns it.

When you open the Capacity Center tabthe Search list displays the default searchif one is defined. Click Go to run the defaultsearch.

Find

Locates carriers that might be available to pick up a shipmentbased on the origin and the planned departure window. Select InboundMatches to SID Number from the Find listenter the specific SID number and click Go.

Capacity Center Tab Table

The CapacityCenter table displays the following columns:

Carrier Note

Displays an icon if a carrier attached a comment on the CapacityCenter Broadcast page. Double-click the icon to view the note.

Thiscolumn is hidden by default. Click the Customize Table linkto show the column.

Destination City

Displays the destination city for the previous shipment beingdelivered by the carrier.

Destination State

Displays the state or province of the destination.

Destination Zip

Displays the postal code of the destination.

Arrival

Displays the actual arrival date and time of the previous shipmentbeing delivered by the carrier. If the shipment has not arrived yetthe planned arrival window is displayed.

Equipment Type

Displays the equipment for the previous shipment being deliveredby the carrier.

Mode

Displays the transportation mode of the previous shipment beingdelivered by the carrier. Typically the mode is Truckload.

SCAC

Shows the Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) of the carrierthat has posted capacity.

Double-click on a SCAC to open theOrganization Details page where you can view information about thecarrier.

Carrier

Displays the name of the carrier that has posted capacity.

Double-clickon the carrier name to open the Organization Details page where youcan view information about the carrier.

Carrier Relationship

Displays the Carrier Relationship icon forthe standard carriers you do business with in Sterling TMS:

• The carrier is a member of your Sterling TMS network. Your shipperadministrator has defined the carrier in the Network Relationshipsstep of Shipper Configuration.
• The carrier has valid contracts with your organization in SterlingTMS.

As a best practice only include the contracted carriers whenyou build a dynamic carrier list. When you tender your shipment tothe carrier list Sterling TMS will only offer the shipment to carriersthat have valid contracts in Sterling TMS. The system will not tenderthe shipment to non-profiled carriers which are not membersof your Sterling TMS network.
