Problem
This technote provides information on how to resolve a problem with the IBM Rational ClearQuest Web server. Windows could not start the IBM WebSphere Application Server after applying WebSphere patch.
Symptom
When trying to restart ClearQuest Web services after applying WebSphere patch based on Steps to upgrade IBM HTTP Server when used as the Rational Web Platform, the service cannot be started with this error message:
Windows could not start the IBM WebSphere Application Server V6 - RWP servlet on Local Computer. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 134221672. Here are screen shots of error message.
