Cannot specify a username with @ character in the HTTP Client adapter proxy configuration

Troubleshooting


Problem

You are trying to configure a HTTP Client adapter and chose to use a proxy server that requires a username and password, but cannot specify a username with @ character.

Symptom

The UI throws the error:

Invalid element: Proxy username. The following characters are not valid:
! @ # % ^ * ( ) ? , < > { } [ ] | ; \ " '.
