IBM Support

Cannot redirect stdout and stderr

Troubleshooting

Problem

Cannot redirect stdout and stderr

Symptom

While using the -o and -e options to bsub for non-interactive jobs to redirect the stdout and stderr to the specified files, these files are not created or updated during the job run. Rather, the data written to the default filenames in the ~/.lsbatch directory and copied to the specified files/locations after the job is done.
