Problem

I cannot receive email notifications.

The email notification system obtains your email address from the company Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) that the WebSphere Business Compass server is connected to. If you are not receiving emails, your email address might not be defined in this system. Ask your LDAP administrator to add your email address to the system.

If all users are having the same problem:

  • The WebSphere administrator must verify whether email notification has been enabled on the server. For more information, see Enable e-mail notification on an existing WebSphere Business Compass server.
  • The WebSphere administrator should check to see if the LDAP has been set up as a federated repository. Repositories that are not federated do not support email address retrieval.
