Question

You receieve Error message Cannot delete disk, disk is still present in the system remove disk from spu inventory.

Cause

nzhw delete -id 1203

Error: cannot delete disk [disk hwid=1203 sn=### SPA=1 Parent=1189

Position=6 ParentEnclPositoin=2] - Disk is still present in the system, remove it from the spu inventory first

Answer

Managed to fix this. Steps below.


> nzhw -type Disk | grep spa1.diskEncl3.disk23

Disk 1203 spa1.diskEncl3.disk23 Failed Ok Disabled

Disk 1204 spa1.diskEncl3.disk23 Spare Ok Disabled


> nzhw probe -spa 1

<wait 10 mins>


> nzhw -issues

Disk 1203 Absent Failed Ok Disabled


> nzhw delete -id1203

<id was removed>.
