Question & Answer
Question
Can Google Chrome Adblock cause an issue with eluminate and data blocking?
Answer
The Coremetrics.com domain has been added to the AdBlock Spanish language block list. Within Chrome, if you go to AdBlock options -> Filter lists -> Add Filters for another language and select Spanish, AdBlock will fetch the adblock list from this location:
http://abp.mozilla-hispano.org/nauscopio/filtros.txt
Coremetrics domain is on this list. If you are using the hosted eluminate.js file at libs.coremetrics.com/eluminate.js, the javascript is prevented from loading.
The quickest solution would be for you to host the eluminate.js file yourselves on your domain and update your <script> src references to point to your domain eluminate host path.
1) download eluminate.js from libs.coremetrics.com/eluminate.js
2) host eluminate.js on your sites domain
3) update the <script> includes on your site
Also please note if the Spanish language list is disabled, eluminate loads fine unless the user added libs.coremetrics.com or coremetrics.com to their custom block list manually.
