Problem
Recent browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox 3 and Windows Internet Explorer 8, contain additional security layers that affect the File Browse dialog box in the Local Help Updater. These security enhancements cause the updater to capture only the file name rather than the full file path when you browse to a file. Because the full path to the site.xml file is required to install from a local site, additional steps are required to configure the browser to capture the complete path to the site.xml file.
Resolving The Problem
When you browse to a site.xml file in a browser that is affected by this enhanced security layer, the following dialog box is displayed:
Complete the steps in the dialog box to capture the full path to the site.xml file so that the local update site installation can proceed.
