When you click 'Browse' to select a file for any pattern in the 'Select File' window of the IBM Cloud Pak System user interface, the file selection window does not open with a single click. This problem occurs only when you use the Mozilla Firefox web browser on macOS systems.
Problem:
See the following procedure to diagnose the problem:
- Open Mozilla Firefox web browser.
- Go to the IBM Cloud Pak System user interface.
- Go to Patterns > Shared Services.
- On the Shared Services page, click to expand a shared service record. For example, click IBM Endpoint Manager Service.
- Click Deploy for this shared service.
- On the Deploy Pattern page, click Browse next to IBM Endpoint Manager server masthead file.
- On the Select File window, click Browse to select a file. The file selection window does not open with a single click.
This problem occurs only with the Select File window for patterns in the Mozilla Firefox web browser on macOS systems.
Workaround:
On the Select File window, click the text box next to Browse and the file selection window opens as expected. For example, see the following figure:

Note: This problem does not occur when you use any other web browsers on macOS systems, nor is this problem present when you use the Mozilla Firefox web browser on other operating systems.
