Abstract
You can access Brocade FOS firmware and IBM SANnav updates through IBM Fix Central. You no longer need to open a case with IBM support to request them.

If you need to upgrade FOS firmware, browse to IBM Fix Central and select the applicable product. You will be prompted for entitlement. Enter the machine type and serial number of your device with current warranty or maintenance coverage. If you need an update for IBM SANnav, you will not be prompted for a serial number, but the ID you use on ibm.com must be associated with your current software maintenance contract.
After the check for entitlement, you will be provided a link to a download assist page on broadcom.com, where you can download updates. The link is valid only for your current session. You can browse the page and select the version you need. The page is customized for IBM, and includes only firmware versions qualified by IBM, which you will find documented here for FOS 9, here for FOS 8 and here for FOS 7, and SANnav versions qualified by IBM, which you will find documented here.

Broadcom publishes only recent versions of FOS firmware, per the policy in the Software Releases and Support document on their Brocade Product End of Life page. This document is updated periodically as new versions of FOS are released and older version reach end of life. If you need an older FOS version that is not listed on the download assist page, please open a case with IBM support. We will work with Broadcom to provide it to you. You will be required to agree to Broadcom's End User License Agreement, documented here, just as you are required to do when you download FOS from the download assist site.
Note: To comply with export control regulations, Broadcom must learn your address. You will be prompted to provide it by completing a form the first time you browse to the download assist page. You are not required to establish an ID and password on broadcom.com. You must simply associate a physical address with the email address you specify when using the site to access downloads, and it must be a work email address. The information you provide is used only for export compliance. If you don't visit the site again for 90 days, you may be prompted to complete the form again.
