IBM Support

The bootstrapProcessServerData.bat command for IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) does not load system information into the process server database

Troubleshooting

Problem

If you enter the wrong database information when you create a process server or a process center profile, you cannot run the bootstrapProcessServerData.bat command to load the system information into the process server database.

Symptom

The following errors are seen when you run the bootstrapProcessServerData.bat command:

[Importing ....  ] WARNING: Error while extracting database product name - falling back to empty error codes
[Importing ....  ] Throwable occurred: org.springframework.jdbc.support.MetaDataAccessException: Error while extracting DatabaseMetaData; nested exception is org.apache.commons.dbcp.SQLNestedException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory, cause: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

[Importing ....  ]  at org.springframework.jdbc.support.SQLErrorCodeSQLExceptionTranslator.setDataSource(SQLErrorCodeSQLExceptionTranslator.java:147)
[Importing ....  ]

Cause

The wrong "Process Server database" information is entered during the profile creation process.

Environment

The issues occurs when you run the bootstrapProcessServerData.bat command after creating the stand-alone profile or after generating the deployment environment in a cluster environment.

Resolving The Problem

Business Process Manager Version 7.5.x Check the 98Database.xml configuration file and make sure the database information is correct. This file is located in the following path:
PROFILE_HOME\config\cells\<cell_name>\nodes\<node_name>\servers\<server_name>\<process-center> or <Process-server>\config\system\98Database.xml

For a Network Deployment environment, modify the 99Database.xml file under both the cluster level and under each Application cluster level directory and complete a full node synchronization operation.

If you made a mistake when you entered the database password while creating the deployment environment , see the Encrypting passwords topic in the product documentation for instructions on how to encrypt the password.
