Troubleshooting


Problem

After upgrading CISCO MDS 9710 from V6.2(19) to 8.1(1), switch experienced symptoms of bug CSCVF99665, with indication of bootflash errors.

Symptom

Symptoms seen in client’s environment include:

*bold is from Cisco website

*non-bold is from clients logs

%SYSMGR-2-LAST_CORE_BASIC_TRACE: : PID 6153 with message non-sysmgr(non-sysmgr) crashed, core will be saved .

switchname %SYSMGR-2-LAST_CORE_BASIC_TRACE: : PID 6141 with message non-sysmgr(non-sysmgr) crashed, core will be saved.

Pre-upgrade check failed. Return code 0x4093007E (Issu cannot be done, bootflash is busy).
