BMXAA1481E - Cannot deliver the message to the endpoint. protocol = https host= null

Troubleshooting


Problem

When attempting to connect to the Watson IoT Platform for Maximo Asset Health Insights a BMXAA1481E error is displayed.

Symptom

The following error is displayed instead of the connection being made.


Cause

The connection to Watson IoT Platform for Maximo Asset Health Insights uses a new endpoint created that is called IOTHISTCLOUD. The Cloudant database values has not been provided to the endpoint causing the error.

Resolving The Problem

To resolve this issue, open Maximo and go to the End Points application. From there open the IOTHISTCLOUD endpoint and ensure the following fields are populated with your Cloudant Database Credentials.

Username

The values for these fields can be found under your service credentials for Cloudant in Bluemix is JSON format.
