BAPI stage: log file location setting is incorrect

Troubleshooting

Problem

A valid path to BAPI log files and other log files exists, but the path is set to the value of the original path where the IBM InfoSphere DataStage job was created. This problem occurs when you are importing a that was created on a different platform. This problem occurs on both the Server job canvas and the Parallel job canvas.

Symptom

You might encounter this problem in the following situations:

  • Target BAPI stages with the Use Default Directory check box selected

The value of Location of Return Parameters and other Log Files contains a valid path name for the platform, but an error occurs when you run the job that displays an invalid path name.
For example, the path name might be C:\IBM\InformationServer, but the path name that displays in the error is opt/IBM/InformationServer.
  • Active BAPI stages

When you run the job, an error message displays an invalid path name for the Location of Return Parameters and other Log Files.
  • Source BAPI stages that behave inconsistently

On a Windows computer, an error message displays indicating that the Read logs file name is in a UNIX format, but on a UNIX computer, a job that is imported from a Windows computer runs without error.
