Summary

This article describes the command to reset the admin@instana.local password in OnPrem environment.

Steps

For onprem, instana configure admin reset will generate a new admin password for the customer to login with, if you need to change the default admin name and password you can run instana configure admin -u new.user@company.com -p newpassword.

This last action will not rename the admin user (admin@instana.local), it will only add a new admin user new.user@company.com; at that particular moment, you will have two users with 'admin' privileges.
