Abstract
Use the Automatic Logon feature to automatically log on to projects. Move easily between projects without having to reenter your credentials when opening projects.
Content
You can use the Automatic Logon feature to automatically log on to projects by reusing your credentials when opening projects or connecting to external projects.
To enable this feature, select the Automatically Log On check box in the Project Logon window when you open a project with security enabled.
Prerequisite
The user and password must be the same in all projects where the user has access and wants to use this feature.
Enabling Automatic Logon.
- Open a project with security enabled.
- Select the Automatically Log On check box.
- Enter valid credentials (user and password).
When Automatic Logon feature is enabled, an error message is displayed when switching projects if your reused credentials are not valid on the new project. After you click the OK button on the error message, the Open Project window opens, where you can select a new project.
Similarly, if your reused credentials are not valid when you try to connect to an external project, click the OK button on the error message, and enter a valid user name and password in the Project Logon window.
Disabling Automatic Logon
To disable the Automatic Logon feature, open the Open Project window. Clear the Automatically Log On check box. You can now select a project to log on to or close the window.
