IBM brand Intelligent Water Family IBM Work Optimization for Water Utilities Version 1.0.0

Asset types

Asset types are the type of entity requiring work. Forexample a valve or sump pump.

The asset types comma-separated value file defines theassets to be used by IBM? Work Optimization for Water Utilities.The file must be named asset.csv.

Eachline in the CSV file needs to be in the following format:
Asset_typeDescription
Where:
  • Asset_type is a short form for a defined assettype. Asset_type can be up to 20 characters inlength.
  • Description is a description of the definedasset type. Description can be up to 80 charactersin length.

If a value contains non-alphanumeric charactersfor example spaces or symbols the value must be enclosed in quotationmarks. Otherwise surrounding values with quotation marks is optional.Values cannot include double or single quotation marks. All valuesmust be separated by commas.

Thefollowing asset types are defined as samples in IBM Work Optimization for Water Utilities:

These values can be customized two ways:
  • When IBM Work Optimization for Water Utilities isinitially installed all sample values can be replaced with valuesmatching the input that will be used in the production system.
  • If additional values are required these values can be added.
