AppLocker blocks execution of SWT DLLs while using Rhapsody

Problem

When you attempt an operation in IBM® Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody®, Microsoft® AppLocker informs you that it blocked the execution of a DLL used by the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT). The operation in Rhapsody® fails, or does not start at all.

Symptom

You are launching Rhapsody® as a standard user and attempting to perform an operation such as "Export XMI". AppLocker displays a warning (the exact error can vary as the wording is often customized by your IT department), informing you it blocked the execution of a DLL. The DLL in question is commonly the file swt-win32-3833.dll.

The AppLocker warning can sometimes be preceded by the Java error: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
