    ****************************************************************
    1. List-directed IPL causes DEV keyword to be missing from
       INDICATE USER:

Output of the INDICATE USER command response is missing
the DEV keyword from the IPLSYS parameter after a list
       directed IPL.

    2. Incorrect count of shared APVIRT crypto resources via the
       SYSTEM CONFIG statement:

This problem is caused by the processing of the system
configuration statement, CRYPTO APVIRT, when a shared
resource is specified twice. For example:
       CRYPTO APVIRT AP 03-15 03 DOM 65 29-40
Notice that AP 03 is specified twice.

    3. PEVM66887 HCP1010W Loaded when IPLing with SYSG Console:

VM66887 delivered a fix for "Console Override may fail when
using CONS=SYSG in IPLPARMS", to rectify improper bit
settings when multiple CONS= statements are specified in
SAPL. However, the fix introduced a defect that changed the
bit settings of the console control field, SYSCONSF, in such
a way that causes CP not to recognize a SYSG console, if
specified with the CONS=SYSG IPL parameter. This results in
a HCP1010W wait state when IPLing with the CONS=SYSG console.

Problem conclusion

  • 1. List-directed IPL causes DEV keyword to be missing from
       INDICATE USER:

List directed IPL processing has been updated to turn on
a bit signifying IPL from a device. This bit is later used
by INDICATE USER to output the DEV keyword in the command
       response.

    2. Incorrect count of shared APVIRT crypto resources via the
       SYSTEM CONFIG statement:

The fix skips incrementing the shared crypto resource count
if the resource is already included in the shared pool.

    3. PEVM66887 HCP1010W Loaded when IPLing with SYSG Console:

HCPARM has been changed to correctly set the bits to indicate
that the CONS=SYSG IPL parameter was found and this change
fixes the HCP1010W wait state problem.
